Brid's Eye Room The Birds Eye Room
Our most private room, set back from house double French doors that open onto the Inns large decks. Queen size bed, birds eye furnishings with warm knotty pine walls and lots of windows. A favorite for honeymooners. 
$145  night + tax.  Three night minimum stay.
Library Room The Library Room
Our best ocean view, skylight above shower and kitty corner to queen size bed.  Wake up to the Royal palms swaying in the trade breezes. Warm knotty pine walls, antique quilt and over 400 books. 
$125 night + tax.  Two night minimum stay
The Chinese Room The Chinese Room 
Overlooking the Inn's decks & gazebo. The room is furnished in Chinese antiques from 1836 - 1895. The color theme is deep blue and crisp whites. Antique iron double bed, full bath with tub, bath salts, oils and bubble bath. 
$115 night + tax
The Plantation Room The Plantation Room 
Light room with garden view. Two great double antique beds (one hand carved from Scotland). Great bath tub with salts, oils and bubble bath. Perfect for a family or friends traveling together. 
$115 night + tax.  $25 extra per additional person(s)
The Moon Room The Moon Room 
Detached private bathroom.
Faces front of property with a garden view. Double bed, Lots of books and a bench to sit and read. Perfect for those watching their budget. 
$95 night + tax

Our location is ideal for the Hawaii visitor. Set on the road to famous Waipio Valley on the temperate north-eastern coast, we are centrally located about halfway between Kona and Hilo Airports, and Volcano's National Park, home of the world's only "drive-in" volcano.    

 


This historic 1932 sugar plantation superintendents residence is set in a tropical garden of fruit and nut trees, and brilliant-flowering, sweet-smelling shrubs. Extensive decks offer panoramic views of the Hamakua coast, with hammocks and chairs to lounge in. The home has been lovingly restored, and furnished throughout with charming antiques. Take a closer look at some of our unique guest rooms and facilities....  

The Wayside has been lovingly restored, and furnished throughout with charming antiques. Each of the five bedrooms carries a different theme. All our bedrooms have tropical flower arrangements, ceiling fans and good reading lights. And all have a private bath - each stocked with fluffy towels, bath salts, herbal oils and bubble bath in the Plantation or Chinese bedrooms, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak.  

In the evening, relax in our comfortable sitting room, browse our extensive Hawaiiana library, or watch TV or a movie from our video library.  

Rates are quoted as cost per night . All bedrooms have private bathrooms.

Above rates apply to single or double occupancy and are subject to Hawaii State excise and hotel room tax. Third person charge is an additional $25.00.  Single night stay $10 cleaning fee added.  Extra person(s) $25 per person, per nite, per room.

Payment: We accept Visa, MasterCard, cash or travelers checks.
Deposit:  1 night - 100%, Multiple nights 50% of booking
Cancellation:   $25 processing  fee, Two weeks prior to  arrival  - refund minus fee. Under two weeks full payment required if room cannot be rebooked.

Check in time is between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. 

Deposit Policy:
1 night and Holiday weeks - 100%
Multiple nights 50% of booking.

Cancellation Policy:
$25 processing fee,
Two weeks prior to arrival - refund minus fee.
Under two weeks - full payment required if room cannot be rebooked.
Holiday weeks one month cancellation required, refund if room is rebooked.

Directions:
Waipio Wayside is located between the 3 & 4 mile marker on highway 240,
oceanside of road. There is a B&B sign on the fence and turn in for the
parking lot is at the end of the fence.
